Thali Temple

The Kozhikkode Thali temple is an ancient one, dating back to the days of the Zamorin rule. The term Thali refers to a Shiva temple; however, the temple complex also houses a shrine to Krishna. Legend has it that Parasurama, associated with several temples in Kerala, worshipped Shiva here. Several legends associated with feudal rivalry, curses and relief from curses are associated with this temple.

Beypore

Beypore or Beypur is an ancient port town and a Municipality town in Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala, India. The place was formerly known as Vaypura / Vadaparappanad. Tipu Sultan, ruler of Mysore, named the town "Sultan Pattanam". There is a marina and a beach while Beypore port is one of the oldest ports in Kerala, which historically traded with the Middle East.

Kappad

Kappad, or Kappakadavu locally, is a famous beach near Kozhikode, India, where the Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama landed on 20 May 1498. His voyage established the sea route from Europe to India. This established a permanent route from Europe to India. This heralded the arrival and permanent presence of various European merchant companies, leading to eventual domination and rule by the East India Company and later the period of British colonial rule.

Sargaalaya Kerala Arts & Crafts Village

Sargaalaya Kerala Arts & Crafts Village, located in Iringal, Kozhikode, is a unique cultural hub dedicated to preserving and promoting Kerala's traditional arts and crafts. Spanning 20 acres along the Moorad River, it hosts over 60 artisan stalls showcasing handmade creations such as pottery, textiles, and jewelry. Managed as part of Kerala's Responsible Tourism initiative, it has won accolades like India's Best Rural Tourism Project.

Peruvannamuzhi Dam

Peruvannamuzhi Dam located at a distance of 43 km from Calicut city, is a picturesque damsite. It is situated in small and scenic village named Peruvannamuzhi and there are frequent bus services to the place. The journey from Calicut city to this spot will take about 2 hours by bus.

Thusharagiri Falls

The best roar of the waterfalls can be enjoyed from September to November. The waterfall with its gentle spray is sure to soothe every eye. The cascading waters of the waterfall slides past with surfy smiles.Two streams originating from the Western Ghats meet here to form the Chalippuzha River. The river diverges into three waterfalls creating a snowy spray, which givesthe name, 'Thusharagiri'.Of the three, the highest waterfall is the Thenpara that falls from an altitude of 75 metres.

Karyathanpara

Urakkuzhi Waterfalls

Kakkayam offers challenging trekking and rock climbing experience along the Kuttiady River. The Urakkuzhi waterfalls located in the Urakkuzhi ghat area is an added attraction. This place offers breathtaking views of the valleys with numerous waterfalls,The best time to visit this place is November to March. Few direct buses are available from Kozhikode.
